When one local business closes in Asheville, another opens, which makes it hard to keep tabs on all the newest places to experience. To make things easier, we’ve rounded up some of the newest Asheville restaurants, bars, breweries, and other businesses to frequent on your next trip to our mountain town.

Check out what’s new this month below.

Huey Magoos
Locals are buzzing about Huey Magoo’s North Carolina debut last month at 291 Long Shoals Road in Arden, marking the franchise’s 50th location! This fast-casual chicken restaurant has been dubbed the “Filet Mignon Of Chicken,” serving only the highest quality chicken tender meals, sandwiches, wraps, and salads since it was established in Florida in 2004. What makes this chain so unique is the part of the chicken they use in their dishes—the chicken tenderloin—which they say is the best 3% of the chicken.

Taco Boy Biltmore Park
Taco Boy has officially opened its second Asheville location in Biltmore Park on October 20! Besides its storefront in West Asheville, which opened in 2022, the brand has locations in Folly Beach, downtown Charleston, and Summerville, SC. With this new South Asheville location, Taco Boy brings its brand-new menu full of scratch-made tacos and tortillas, fresh-juiced margaritas and cocktails, and other Mexican-inspired eats. The space, formerly occupied by O.P. Taylor’s and NEO Burrito, has been entirely overhauled and is as vibrant and colorful as its delectable menu!

Mizu Noodle & Asian Cuisine
Now open at 22 New Leicester Hwy Suite D in Asheville, NC, Mizu Noodle serves up Asian classics, such as miso soup, beef ribs, pork ramen, pho, egg fried rice, and more. This locally owned eatery has received several glowing reviews from customers, praising their customer service, delicious flavors, and quick seating times. Pick up, dine in, or get it delivered!

Laila Asheville Indian Cuisine
Laila is the newest Indian restaurant to set out into the Asheville scene! Now open at 77 Biltmore Avenue in downtown Asheville, Laila takes pride in serving authentic Indian cuisine that will transport your taste buds to the rich flavors of India. From crispy kale chaat to chicken tandoori to lamb vindaloo, you’ll find your favorites and some new variations on your favorites at this spot. Laila also offers catering, private event services, and a VIP program for loyal customers.

Voodoo Roller Skate Shop
Shop high- and low-top roller skates, hardware, and safety gear at this new roller skate shop in downtown Asheville, located at 45 Rankin Avenue. This shop also offers rental skate options for beginners or those looking to try on a new pair for size. Their roller skate workshops, classes, and private lessons are also a great way to get started with this new sport. Learn the basics with their Level 1 Skate IA instructor, or take a roller dance class or workshop. Let’s roll!

Margarita’s Grill
A family-owned restaurant for over three decades, Margarita’s Grill, now open at 1996 Hendersonville Road in Asheville, NC, serves grilled chicken and ribs accompanied by tortillas and salads. The family has been serving tasty dishes in Coatzacoalcos Veracruz in Mexico since 1989, with this being their first restaurant established in Western NC. The business is an ode to the family’s mother, Margarita, who always used fresh and natural ingredients and authentic home seasonings in her dishes.
