Check out what’s new this month below.
The long-awaited restaurant from former Top Chef contestant and Benne on Eagle chef Ashleigh Shanti has finally opened at 10 Buxton Street in the South Slope Brewing District. Good Hot Fish is a fish fry restaurant where Shanti mixes ideas from traditional fish camps with Black Appalachian and Southern cuisine. What started as a pop-up around town soon became a craze and is now a brick-and-mortar for everyone to enjoy. From her famous fish sandwiches to hush puppies, hot crab dip, and more, this restaurant has to be on your Asheville restaurant bucket list this year.

Not just your traditional dessert shop, the Dolly Llama Waffle Master has opened a new location in Biltmore Park in South Asheville. With several locations across California, Florida, Texas, Utah, and South Carolina, this is the first of its name in our state. Their menu offers tons of different varieties of ice cream and waffles, including liege waffles (a type of Belgian waffle made with pearl sugar), bubble waffles (egg waffles that taste a bit sweeter than your average waffle), ice cream shakes, and more. Find out why waffles don’t need syrup at the Dolly Llama Waffle Master!
