Go Local Asheville

Go Local Asheville was founded 13 years ago with the mission to grow a resilient local economy and thriving community, champion the unique character of our region and advocate for prosperity for all. Today, Go Local has over 560 local independent business members representing a diversity of categories, business types, and ownership. In lieu of a membership fee, we ask for a discount or perk for Go Local cardholders. Currently, we have over 5,000 cardholders who support our local independent business community by frequenting their businesses, buying their goods and services, and sharing the importance of “buying local” with their friends, family and neighbors. The money from the sale of Go Local cards supports our business community and our Asheville City Public Schools. To find Go Local members, Mountain Xpress publishes an annual print directory distributed in December every year and sent with every card purchase. In addition, Go Local has an on-line directory located on our website and a smartphone app that can be found in the Apple Store or Google Play under Go Local Asheville.
