Hi-Wire Brewing Big Top

Located half a mile from the Biltmore Estate just up the road from Hi-Wire's South Slope Specialty Brewery, which was the brewery's original location, Hi-Wire Brewing opened the 27,000-square-foot Big Top Taproom & Production Brewery in the summer of 2015.

The Big Top brings the brewing process to life by giving craft beer drinkers the opportunity to enjoy a pint of Hi-Wire’s approachable and balanced lagers and ales beside the tanks where they were created. This large, industrial-feeling space features ample seating, an outdoor patio, a bier garden, a permanent Foothills Local Meats food truck serving the best in local, pasture-raised meats with vegetarian options available, and it is home to most of Hi-Wire’s large events and beer festivals.

Hi-Wire also has a third Asheville location opening in summer 2021 – the Hi-Wire RAD Beer Garden – in the River Arts District that features an outdoor beer garden constructed from upcycled shipping containers attached to a 25,233-square-foot Hi-Wire distribution center.

The dinner menu includes dishes representing all regions of Italy, featuring Chef Anthony Cerrato’s traditional family recipes. Savory house-made pastas, grilled meats, seafood and decadent desserts are offered for dinner 7 days a week with weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Three bars featuring creative and classic craft cocktails plus a wine list thoughtfully composed of Old and New World selections make Strada and Social Lounge a go-to destination for date nights or special gatherings. Lobster Trap

The Lobster Trap is all about seafood. Don’t look for chicken here. This is where fresh seafood is thoughtfully prepared in ways that honor its delicate flavors and textures. This is where fun, food and hospitality abound and where the oysters are always fresh. So come join Mike and Amy in a celebration of seafood. Raise a glass, crack a claw, shuck a shell, and lift a fork to the best that our domestic oceans, rivers and lakes have to offer.

The Cantina

The Cantina located in Historic Biltmore Village and less than two miles from Downtown Asheville, boasts more than great Fresh Mex Food and a beautiful year round patio.

This restaurant takes their role of feeding people to another level. In 2013 The Coggiolas, owners of The Cantina and Asheville natives, developed a SKIPASIDE option. All of their, very generously large entrees, come with your choice of two sides. Diners may opt to SKIP one or both of their sides and The Cantina in turn donates $2 for every side skipped to Manna Food Bank, providing food with hope and dignity to people experiencing hunger.

As of January of 2021, The Cantina donated enough money to provide over 1/2 million meals for our neighbors in need.

Delighting every diner at every seat with creative quesadillas, burritos, and other Mexican favorites, the Cantina provides many vegetarian and gluten-free choices. A must-try is their unique Stuffed Grilled Avocado filled with shrimp or chicken, which pairs perfectly with the Cantina’s Famous Avocado Margarita. All dishes are handmade with fresh ingredients every day and may vary depending on the availability of local produce and products. So while in the area, consider The Cantina, and consider “Being Nice with Your Rice” and skipping a side.
